New year, new layout and other bits

The new year, new layout and other bits post that I had written a few days ago got deleted along with all of my other entries and what not when a plugin fucked up my entire template system. This problem demanded me to re-install EE as a whole, resulting in the deletion of all my old entries. So yes, now it seems like a brand new start yet again. I wish I could keep my bloody entries once and for all. I have no archives whatsoever now since the database backup didn’t go through. Awesome! *SARCASM*

Anyway, the new layout is up, and hopefully the commenting system¹ will work this time. I’m tempted to try installing the guilty plugin one more time and see if styling was the source of the problem, but I’m gonna wait a bit since I have job related stuff to do, and I haven’t done squat. Anyway, for this layout, I’ve made over 50 different versions, with every possible color combination and lay-outs. I had been doing the same old type of layout for so long, that I “needed” a change, and this is the result. I kind of like this one and now I’ve got a sidebar! Don’t I sound extremely geeky now?

About my New Year, it was very nice but calm. We ate tasty food, drank a bit and had a Transporter and Die Hard marathon. My holidays are unfortunately over though. The new semester starts tomorrow as well as a new season at the gym. I’ve got to come up with 6 new programs/choreographies asap, but I haven’t done much. I’m not all that happy about going to school again so soon. I feel the two weeks I had between the last exam and tomorrow went so fast. Why God, why? Hopefully I aced all my exams and I’m on my way to becoming the new American next top model…Naaaah, just on my way to my diploma.

EDIT: It seems the problems with the commenting system are solved (crosses fingers…EE can be a bitch sometimes too). ↩
